The Nine Emperor God Festival The Festival of the Nine Emperor Gods, at the Nantian God Temple in Ampang, falls on the ninth day of the ninth moon in the Chinese lunar calendar Hari Raya Food Delights - Break Fast Tour I love local markets and I equally love food, so when I read that Angie Ng was organizing a tour of the Ramadan Markets in Kampong Baru, I was very keen to participate. Malacca Visit A group of lucky Manza ladies (+ 1 gentleman) were recently able to escape K.L.’s haze and discover new aspects of Malacca. Led by Angie Ng and A. Najib Ariffin, we learned how Malacca was founded circa 1396 by the Sumatran prince, Parameswara.

Firefly Visit, Seafood Dinner and Other Discoveries This very interesting and delightful excursion was organised by Angie Ng and her husband, Kim. As usual, Angie’s enthusiastic attitude prevailed and everyone relaxed under her watchful eye

Walking Tour of Little India Did you know that Kuala Lumpur literally means “Muddy Confluence”? It refers to the place where the Klang and Gombak rivers meet, and is the area of the first tin mining settlement. imgBrickfields Walking Tour - Part I Angie arrives with her good friend Mr. Najib who is in charge of guiding this walking tour. We started learning about the history of KL Old Railway Station...
Chinese Tea Ceremony Once again, I had booked a walking tour with Angie Ng, who this time would lead us through China town’s past and present. Our first stop was at the Chan See Shu Yuen Temple. Built in 1906, it is one of the oldest surviving Buddhist temples in Malaysia. imgKampung Baru Walking Tour A trip through ancient history and the challenge of future development - Being an all time favorite with MANZA members, but new to me, I was among those greeted at the Kampung Baru station by Angie Ng, our travel guide of today’s tour.
