For those that haven’t yet experienced this Tournament, which is in its 5th
decade, let us enlighten you about rum tarts, the sherry shots, the steel war
helmet and the army coat, nearest the pin played standing on a car tyre,
and of course the prizes that will be up for grabs!

• This annual event of fun and golf begins with breakfast in the Clubhouse, followed by the 18 hole tournament
  including the ANZAC Cup, the RUM Cup and the SHERRY Cup, along with novelty events, followed by buet
  lunch and presentation of prizes.
• The ANZAC Cup, RUM Cup and SHERRY Cup are played on a “Four Ball Best Ball” Stableford basis, and to qualify
  for prizes, at least one member of each pair, must be a MANZA Member.
  ANZAC CUP (for men) is played over 18 holes. There are also individual prizes for Best Front and Back Nine.
  

RUM CUP (for men)

• played over a secretly selected nine holes. To qualify, at least one tot of rum must be consumed by the team.
  - no competitor may consume more than ve tots.
  - one point per tot will be added to the player’s Stableford score (maximum 5) and must be recorded by the
  rum-tart at each Drinks Hut (there are 2 Huts on the Course).

SHERRY CUP (for ladies)

• is played over 18 holes.
• to qualify, at least one tot of sherry or rum must be consumed by the team.
• a maximum of 5 tots per competitor will count towards the Sherry Cup.

NEAREST THE PIN (for men and ladies)

• the tee shot is played standing on a car tyre.

LONGEST DRIVE (for men and ladies)

• the tee shot is played whilst wearing an army helmet and great coat.

If you think your golf would be improved by teeing of wearing an army helmet and great coat, or by doing it on a tyre, then this Tournament is made for you. If not, perhaps the tots of rum or sherry will improve your score card! So, find a golf buddy and submit your Registration Form (attached) to MANZA immediately! Please note that this Tournament is open to all MANZA Members. Guests are welcome to play, but in order to qualify for any prizes, one member of each pair must be a MANZA Member. The entry fee includes breakfast, green fees, insurance, shared buggy, up to 5 tots of rum or sherry, lunch and prizes.
